JOIN US AT CCAI’S DECEMBER 2 MEMBERSHIP MEETING

December 2, 2014

JOLIET JUNIOR COLLEGE

9:30-4:00 P.M.

An exciting array of information and discussion topics awaits you at our December 2 meeting.   This is a busy, chaotic and challenging time for our agencies, so take this one day to catch up on breaking news of interest to child welfare agencies, hear from your colleagues about what they’re encountering and recharge your batteries.

Meeting for one day at Joliet Junior College, this event is geared to be a Forum style meeting that will apply to many aspects of your agency.  The new care directions that we see our state moving towards will eventually affect every state funded child and family, and will affect almost every aspect of the core programs in your agency.

We’ll provide an overview of the landscape that will be helpful for all levels of leadership in your agency:   Executive directors/CEOs, Vice-Presidents, Program Directors, Financial Directors and Team supervisors.  Plan to bring your entire leadership team. It’s a great opportunity for networking and for helping our emerging leaders experience association activities. We’ve priced the day to encourage multiple staff from your agency to attend.

 AGENDA

Children’s Behavioral Health Planning and the Managed Care Landscape: What are the Connections to and Impact on Child Welfare Programs?

New systems-of-care approaches are spreading throughout the country. Illinois is in the midst of a proposed redesign of behavioral health that will impact Medicaid-eligible as well as clients whose care is financed in other ways.

Behavioral health will include a continuum of services from psychiatric hospitalization through parent support. Your agency will be impacted as a provider and your clients will be impacted. We will provide an overview of the proposed system and take an opportunity to discuss the impact of this emerging system on our key CCAI programs:

·         Residential

·         Foster Care

·         Counseling

·         Special Education

·         Youth & Juvenile Service

Managed Care/ACOs/ACEs---How does CCAI fit in?

We’ll provide an update on CCAI’s work to understand the new Health Reform landscape, work of our “Think Tank” steering committee and assessment of our member agency needs.
