Who should attend?
Social workers, teachers, healthcare professionals, administrators, law enforcement and court personnel, mental health professionals, prevention workers, substance abuse counselors, parents, adoptive/foster parents, home visitors and community volunteers.
Conference registration is $199 if prepaid registration is received by October 20, 2014. After October 20th, the conference registration is $229. Space is limited, so early registration is advised. The registration fee covers conference materials, plenary sessions, workshops, lunch and a sit-down dinner (where cash bar will be available) on November 6, and
breakfast on November 7.
Parking is available in nearby public parking garages for $7 per day or $ .75 per hour. Hotel parking with unlimited in and out privileges is $10 per day and can be billed to your room.
Requests for refunds made in writing prior to October 20, 2014, will be subject to a $50 processing fee. No refunds will be given after October 20.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for Social Workers, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors, and Marriage and Family Therapists will be available for conference participants through Northern Illinois University. Nursing CEs, educational CPDUs, court MCLEs, and domestic violence credits are also available for eligible attendees.
All eligible participants will receive a certificate with CEUs awarded for attendance. 1.0 TOTAL CEUs (10 contact hours) will be awarded for the entire conference. (Thursday is .6 CEUs, or 6.25 contact hours, and Friday is .3 CEUs, or 3.75 contact hours.) There is no charge for CEUs. To be awarded CEUs for the conference you must sign in each day you attend at the designated area for the type of continuing education credit you are requesting. Sign in for Thursday can only be done on Thursday and sign in for Friday can only be done on Friday while the registration area is open. There will be no exceptions. Some continuing education credits require additional information and evaluations from participants. Sign in sheets will be located near the registration area.

Participants must make their own hotel arrangements. To receive this special rate, please mention you are attending the PCA 2014 Conference. After October 14, rooms at this special rate will be on a space-available basis. The Hilton Springfield is in compliance with ADA regulations.
A limited number of DCFS prepaid conference registrations are available for staff, foster caregivers and adoptive parents. DCFS staff, foster caregivers and adoptive parents who wish to register for the PCA Illinois Conference should download the DCFS-sponsored registration form from the D-net or the DCFS Virtual Training Center (www.dcfstraining.org) and submit it to the DCFS Training Unit as directed on the form. After the conference, DCFS staff should submit any applicable travel expenses on their travel voucher.
