Position Title:                                     Case Manager 

 

Program/Department:                        Foster Care

 

Region:                                               Mid-Central (Bloomington)

 

Qualifications:                                    Bachelor's degree in social work or in another human service field.  Must attend two-week Department of Children and Family Service's Foundation Training and pass related testing to obtain Child Welfare Employee Licensure and Child Endangerment Risk Assessment Protocol Certification within six months of employment.

 

Basic Function:                                  Case Manager is responsible for providing services to children and families served by foster care program.  Must be able to assess the social service needs of clients whose needs range from routine to complex.  Provide a range of direct individual and group caseworker servcies within the agency's policies, procedures, and practices.  Reports to assigned supervisor.

Qualifications:                                    High school diploma or equivalent, however, some college is desirable

 

Basic Function:                                  Assist case manager in providing services to clients; provide transportation to clients for various appointments; provide supervision and assess interaction between  child and parent during visits; be able to work a flexible schedule , inclusive of weekend and evenings, as required by the program.

Region:                                   Metro Region-Marshfield Ave location

 

Qualifications:                        Bachelors in a social service related field.  May consider HS diploma with child welfare experience.  Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Experience working with children and families and strong time management skills required.  Valid Drivers license, auto insurance and a car are required for this position.

 

Basic Function:                       Provide case management services to children and relative caregivers. Responsible for comprehensive case management which may include: needs assessment; service planning; case coordination; linkages with community resources; monitoring family progress towards goals and preparing case for probate court.  EOE

Position Title:                         Youth Organizer   

 

Program/Department:            Englewood Safety Net Works/Community Schools

 

Region:                                   Metro

 

Qualifications:                        High School Diploma or equivalent.  1 year experience in youth organizing or leadership development.  Typing skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office program (Word, Excel).  Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.  Reliable personal transportation is required.

 

Basic Function:                       Part time (22.5 hrs/wk), permanent position.  This position is based in the Englewood Community and supports Safety Net Works (SNW), a coalition of local organizations striving to end youth violence.  Conducts outreach and recruits new youth into Safety Net Works (SNW) programming activities. Organizes and facilitates SNW Youth Council.  Serves as liaison between statewide and Englewood SNW Youth Councils.  Assists in implementing a youth organizing curriculum to develop youth leadership skills.  Attends all SNW meetings and trainings.  EOE
