CHILD WELFARE SPECIALIST

Location: Lockport Village

Responsibilities include: providing intake and referral services, treatment planning, conducting homes visits, representing the child and family in court, attending administrative case reviews, participating in regular family team meetings, participation in the child’s educational needs, organizing client records, maintenance of agency records and necessary correspondence; and share on-call responsibilities with other staff, including weekends.

 

Position Minimum Requirements: BSW or BA in related human services, Child Welfare Employee Licensure and 1-2 years child welfare foster care experience. Pursuant to DCFS licensing standards submit to a full background check, and provide academic transcripts. Must hold a valid Illinois driver’s license with acceptable driving record and provide own reliable and insured transportation. FOSTER PARENT ENRICHMENT COORDINATOR

Location: Chicago and Lockport Villages

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide and coordinate the training, education, and support for the enrichment of foster parents; manages the recruitment and selection of professional Foster Parent and Relief Parent staff. Works with the Village Directors and staff to identify competency and training needs; provides in-home behavior management consultation; identifies resources for recruitment and training.

 

Position Minimum Requirements: MSW or MA in related human services preferred; experience in training and personnel development required; certified PRIDE trainer, DPR/First Aid trainer, Behavior Management trainer preferred; Child Welfare Licensure and 402 Licensure preferred; experience working with DCFS and foster care or social services helpful; supervisory experience or experience with proven leadership responsibilities. Ability and willingness to travel between Chicago and Lockport Villages; hold a valid Illinois driver’s license with acceptable driving record and provide own reliable and insured transportation; and pursuant to DCFS licensing standards submit to a full background check, medical exam and TB test, and provide academic transcripts. CLINICAL THERAPIST

Location: Chicago Village

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: providing professional oversight to all aspect of clinical services in the Village including providing assessments, interventions and psycho-social-educational therapeutic services to SOS clients, families and groups.

 

Position Minimum Requirements: MSW, or relevant MA, from an accredited program; LCSW/LCPC required and minimum 3 years experience in clinical practices. This position is located in the Chicago Village. Candidates must be willing to also travel to the Lockport Village as necessary. Strong interpersonal, oral, written and organizational skills; ability to handle job-related matters in a professional, diplomatic and confidential manner; sensitivity to cultural, psychological and practical needs of the clients that the agency serves. Pursuant to DCFS licensing standards hold a valid Illinois driver’s license in good standing, submit to a full background check, medical exam and TB test, and provide proof of academic transcripts.
