Help us develop, improve & monitor services and activities of our direct service programs.  Our candidate has a background in QA and enjoys analytical and systems work, data management & outcomes measurement.  MA/MS w/2  yrs of rel exp., advanced Microsoft Excel & database mgmt exp req.  Must have knowledge of DCFS regs, Spec. Foster Care & Residential Srvs.   Req to travel.  Daily access to an operable car, valid IL DL w/active auto insur req.

 

·        Training Specialist

Schedule, coordinate and facilitate agency-wide training to staff, volunteers & collateral agencies. Track & monitor records, coordinate speakers, mentor staff & deliver constructive feedback.  Prepare training programs and present materials.  MA/MS highly preferred, min. of a BA Degree is req w/7 + yrs of child welfare/FC & 2 yrs of adult learning/training exp. Req.  Evenings and weekends required.

 

·        File Maintenance Clerk

We are seeking a File Clerk for our FBS office to file all client related documentation into client filing system according to agency procedures for all programs daily.  Ensures that all client related documentation is maintained within client filing system for all programs daily.  Assists the Quality Assurance Department with peer and utilization reviews, as needed, including file auditing.  Ensures proper lockable storage of client files throughout the day and at closing.  Maintains sign-in/out logs for staff requesting to remove files or any documentation from filing system.  Assists program staff with daily filing support.

 

·        Program Development Manager

Actively recruit volunteers in the community to assist in a variety of functions.  Conduct interviews and training seminars for eligible volunteers.  Be responsible for educational workshops for volunteers and service recipients.  Solicit gifts and in kind donations from private individuals and companies within the community.  Write grants and submit to pertinent funding outlets.  Produce promotional information such as flyers and brochures.  Develop fundraising plans with Program Coordinator and be responsible for effective implementation.  Work to improve current services while also developing future supports that will benefit patients and their families.  BA degree Two Years experience working within a social service setting.  Will consider candidates with experience acquired from other settings. Evenings and weekends required. Valid IL DL & auto ins req.

 

 

·        Foster Care Program Coordinator

Mentor & support the professional development of a case management team responsible for Specialized Foster Care Services. and facilitate the care of special needs children.  MSW/MA required w/4+ yrs. Child Welfare & Spec. Foster Care w/ 2+ yrs supervisory exp required. , IL Child Welfare License & CERAP Certification.  Must have an operable car w/valid IL DL & insurance.

·        Residential Program Coordinator

Supervise & support the professional development of up to 10 staff in a residential treatment setting serving a SED adolescent population ages 12 to 19, Axis I&II diagnosis.  Direct the operation of a group home while implementing treatment services for the residents.  Must enjoy working w/teens.  Req. 3 yrs. Resid’l direct care exp. & 1+ yrs. Supv. exp.  BA/BS, DL, auto ins req, MA preferred.

 

·        Therapeutic Recreation Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for a caring individual who is full of energy, athletic, patient, empathetic, flexible & enjoys working w/ adolescent boys & girls. You will develop & implement therapeutic recreation programs for our clients & plan special events, run groups & participate on the Trx team.   Must have exp in Therapeutic Recreation in a residential setting. B.A. Degree in Physical Education or related field w/2 + years exp working in Social Services.  CTRS highly preferred.  Evenings/weekend hrs req.  Knowledge of current child & adolescent development practices; Devlp skills w/ spec res pop.  Valid IL DL & auto ins req.

 

·        Full & Part Time Residential Youth Counselors

Full & Part Time positions for caring individuals to mentor and provide overall care for adolescent boys and girls in a residential setting. BD/EBD population. Must be patient, dependable, organized & enjoy working with teens.  AA/AS Degree in related field w/2 yrs rel exp or HS Diploma/GED w/5 related yrs of exp is req. Must have a valid IL DL & insur. Flexible schedule required.

 

·        Child Welfare Specialist I or II

An opportunity for an exp. Child Welfare Spec to join the specialized foster care Prog at TYC.  Provide mentoring, support & advocacy for youth and teens.  Req. exp. in Spec. Foster Care /IL Child Welfare & working w/adolescents.  Minimum BA/BSW w/3 yrs Spec Foster Care exp, or 5yrs foster care, IL Child Welfare Lic & CERAP, MA/MS preferred.  Daily access to a working car w/valid IL DL & insur. are req.  Some evenings and weekends required.

 

·        Community Respite Worker

The Comm. Respite Wkr provides on-going respite care to infants/children and support their caregivers.  In home visitations req.    This individual monitors the growth, development, care and safety of the infant/children & documents observations of the child's progress or regression.   3 + yrs of related (hospital or child care setting) exp req w/AA. C.N.A. or nursing exp highly preferred.  HS Diploma will be considered w/5+ yrs exp.  Must have a valid IL DL & insur.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

·        Family Outreach Specialist

The Family Outreach Specialist provides support to clients, foster parents, FBS and Residential Team members while transitioning clients into foster care and alternative placements.  Provides crisis intervention support and assistance to clients and foster parents.  Attend meetings associated with assigned clients, such as Child and Family Team staffing, clinical consultation and other meetings as assigned.  Maintain a minimum two or more weekly phone (and more as needed)contact with designated  clients after placement in FBS. A Bachelor’s Degree or a High School Diploma (or equivalent). Three to five years of relevant experience in child welfare with some experience and training in the child advocacy arena. Must have a valid IL DL & insur.

 

·        Special Needs Registered Nurse

Provide training to foster parent(s) and staff on medical/preventative treatment issues pertinent to MCP children and families.  Schedule home visits based on client’s medical needs at least quarterly to:  Perform basic physical assessments of child (i.e. vital signs, visual and tactile assessment).  Ascertain what medications are given, including prescription and non-prescription.  Assess compliance with medical recommendations.  Assess foster parent(s) knowledge of medication (i.e. names, dosage, frequency, purpose and side effects).  Review and provide oral and written information and instructions to foster parent(s).  Review complete healthworkers form, health passport and medical examination form to ensure that immunizations and other routine medical care is current and documented.  Document home visit and physical assessment via narrative charting and completion of body chart.  Follow-up with physicians regarding pending status reports and anticipated surgeries and/or therapies.   Facilitate the provision of medical services for new admissions.  Review medication logs to assure documentation of medications by foster parent(s).  Document contact with foster parent(s), clients, physicians and other medical providers according to department and program procedures.  Review client files on a quarterly basis for complete medical documentation and consent forms.  Participate in team meetings including intake and discharge meetings and treatment team for purposes of case planning and provision of services.  Act as a resource to staff in clarifying medical situations and treatment needs.  Identify clients for psychiatric review according to Agency and DCFS policies. Must have a valid IL DL & insurance.  RN License required, BSN or MSN Preferred.

 

·        Resource Specialist

An entry level supervisory opportunity for an experienced Residential Youth Counselor with growth potential in our management team.  Provide positive leadership, training and assist in coordinating a 8+ member team.  Mentor and counsel adolescents,  2+ years of supervisory experience required with a BA degree.  Must have a valid IL DL and insurance.
