Description of Duties:

Monitor apartment site in concert with DCFS regulations as well as other funding specifications as needed. Provide crisis management. Assist in the development of independent living skills; including, menu planning, grocery shopping, housekeeping, as well as planning and participating in community activities. Document all activities and interactions with youth in co ordinance with Thresholds’, DFCS, as well as other funding agencies policies and specifications.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

High School diploma required. Must meet Office of Mental Health standards as a Rehabilitative Services Associate. Must be 23 years old and demonstrate skills in the field of services to adults or children, demonstrated ability to work within agency structure, and accept supervision, and demonstrated ability to work with clients, other providers and the community. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience working with mentally ill youth and/or DCFS wards preferred, as well as familiarity with DCFS housing regulations. Must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements, Responsibilities and/or Duties Unique to the Position:

Individual must be motivated to assist in the development of young peoples lives who are soon to be transitioning to independence. Must be proactive in handling crisis and enabling members to seek positive solutions and favorable outcomes. Valid driver’s license, automobile and 100/300/100 auto liability insurance required.

Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma required.

Hours: Full-Time: Sunday 9am-11pm, Monday 3pm-11pm, Wednesday 3pm-11pm, and Thursday 1pm-11pm

Supervise clinical therapists. Supervise behavior management staff. Ensure all documentation meets DCFS, ICG and Medicaid standards. Facilitate clinical staffings. Work with high school principal to ensure that all ISBE and other requirements are met.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work required. Licensure required (LCPC or LCSW). Experience working with adolescents/young adults. Familiarity with DCFS requirements. Minimum three years management experience. Driver's license, automobile and 100/300/100 personal auto liability insurance required.

Work as a member of the team responsible for the smooth operation of the therapeutic milieu.

Minimum Education Required: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work required. Licensure required (LCPC or LCSW).

Description of Duties:

Responsible for managing a residential site for teen mothers who are wards of the state and their children. Directly supervise 8 residential staff. Manage staff work schedules and call-offs, complete staff performance evaluations, facilitating weekly staff and client meetings. Able to implement life skill workshops for the teen mothers, making room rounds, managing crisis environment and situations with clients. Capable of completing daily notes and log sheets. Capable of completing daily notes using Harmony and administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Bachelors Degree in the following areas: Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, Psychology or related field of study. Three to four years of experience working with teen mothers or youth in a residential or group setting, knowledge of the Department of Children & Family Services, the Department of Human Services and or the Division of Mental Health. Must be computer literate and have excellent writing and communication skills.

Good driving record, driver's license, working vehicle, 100/300/100 auto liability insurance, and the ability to work various shifts at the residences.

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, Psychology or related field of study.
