JOB DESCRIPTION

 

 

 POSITION:                           Treatment Therapist

 

SALARY RANGE:                $27,500 - $44,000 Annually

                                                $30,000 - $48,000 with Licensure

 

QUALIFICATIONS:             MSW Degree, or a Masters Degree in a related field. Experience in working with children, adolescents and families; experience in individual, family, and group therapy; skills in interagency relations; good time management and organizational skills; maintain up to date case file documentation per agency requirements; interest and background to work with victims and perpetrators of sexual and physical abuse. Sensitivity and responsiveness to the cultural differences of individuals and families in groups outside one’s own.

REPORTS TO:                      Treatment Coordinator

RESPONSIBILITIES

I.                    CASE MANAGEMENT

 

A.            Completes rehabilitative assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and evaluations of all children, adolescent, adult and families referred for services.

B.            Schedules, conducts all necessary staffing- including but not limited to admissions, pre-court, monthly progress, emergency, inter-agency, and termination.

C.           Maintains appropriate case records, written reports, and ensures all documentation has met deadlines on a timely basis.

D.           Maintains client’s confidentiality in accordance to Illinois Law and YSBIV policies and procedures.

E.            Develops therapeutic strategy with supervisor.

F.            Conducts individual, group, and family therapy where applicable, as designated by the service plan.

G.           Provides in-home support and assistance to families when applicable.

H.            Provide linkage with individuals and families to other community resources when appropriate.

I.               Advocate for the client/their families in regard to their right to treatment, appropriate treatment, and their right to dignity.

 

II.                  MANAGEMENT/ SUPPORT DUTIES

 

A.      Works with supervisor in area of program development, public relations, and inter-agency teams and training’s.

B.     Researches and keeps current on field developments, including: contributing to the field through writing articles, developing workshops, speaking to professional groups, and developing accountability and growth within the program and agency.

C.     Responsible for program and statistical reports, as directed by the Treatment Coordinator.

D.     Other duties as designated by the contract we serve.

E.     Complete home studies as requested through Interstate Compact.

 

III.         Actively participates in YSBIV’s continuous Quality Improvement program.
